Concert No. 3- Schlossberg

Inside the concert hall- it was an old prison.
So, concert no. 3 tonight at the Schlossberg, Graz's initial fortress and town center during the middle ages. The concert hall is an old converted prison. The prison cells, now private booths, can be seen in the picture. The music this concert is amazing by itself, but in a place like this, it's taken to a whole new level of life.

Tomorrow is our 4 day break and I'm taking the 6 am (eeek!) direct train to Budapest with a friend. I can't wait. People keep giving me ideas for things to do, and I can't see how we'll be able to do it all in 4 days. Everyone says its an usual but beautiful city.

I'll write more later as I need to get dressed and ready for the concert. We're playing a lot of Verdi, Mozart's Don Giovanni (my favorite!) and some Beethoven and Handel. It's a difficult program for keeping up the energy and focus, but a wonderful program to play. Tchuss!

The view from the tram to the top of the mountain. Guten Tag, Graz!
